Any issues to consider for planning backup for Exchange using Arcserve

Config:
NT4 SP6
Exchange 5.5 (possibly going to exchange 2000)
AIT 50Gb tape drive.
Some users have remote access via webmail, so need to perform backup with Open Access Client.
What other clients/options would you recommend?
Primarily we are looking to give ourselves all possible opportunity to recover data from mailboxes. Even if this means restoring all mailboxes to obtain acess to one mailbox.
How you are accessing to Tape Drive/Library?
Currently using NTbackup (Yeah I Know but is a system I inherited.)
