Any ideas why a progress database would keep stopping?

Sorry if this is a bit hazy, I have just 'acquired' a system - I know almost nothing about progress.

We have an accounts package, using a progress database. It seems the server, after a relatively short period of time, shuts down the databases. This can be as little as 10 minutes.

I'm assuming its the progress database - restarting it solves the porblem.

Any ideas what could cause this? Its running on a Win 2000 server, P4 1.8ghz, 1gb RAM, database is on a 27gb drive with 21gb free.

Thanks!

look at what the log file is telling you.

OK, solved - in case it helps someone else in the future here's what happened.

I was accessing the DB server using a terminal service client from my PC.

The terminal service client creates its own processes on the remote server, so I was stopping the databases from there, to back them up, restarting them, and then when I logged off of the terminal server - poof! - it would stop the dbs.

Almost funny. The accounts guys would say 'It's down again', so I'd log on, start them up, all would be fine, then some time later I'd log off, and down they'd go again. Has taken weeks to spot the link . . .
