Well, since I am unable to "custom" print CD's with the Photosmart premier software without it automatically printing the text box on the disc, I have been trying other options.

My Epson Print CD projects will print using this printer, but they all print "off center". I have tried manually centering the settings, but nothing changes the final print. Any suggestions?!?!?

I am open to using other software, if I can edit the images, text, etc.

Thanks, katzprint :)

I just got this printer & have the same problem. Not only can't get rid of the box , but can't move it either. Is there any other software that can be used?I have memorex expressit but can't get that to work.

I talked to HP; they confirm that the rectangle text box is there to stay, it cannot be removed. I am told that Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker will work with this printer; I haven't tried it yet, but they do have a free trial download if you have the time. :)

Also, a friend tells me that he thinks Nero Label Creator will work with it as well. Again, I have not had a chance to try it out. I am just relaying the information that I have received, in case anyone else wants to give it a shot in the meantime.

Please be sure to post your results with it if you try either one out!

Cheers, katzprint :)

I tried Acoustica. It rendered my system almost useless. I had to do a system recovery. The combination of Acoustica & HP software somehow caused a conflict.

Wow, sorry to hear that about Acoustica; I have used the trial version in the past, & it worked well for me with other projects. I think maybe I will uninstall all of the HP software & just use the driver for the printer, hopefully that won't cause a conflict.
