I am using Veritas Backup Exec. 8.5 on NT Severs

I have a backup of Server "A". Which is on our network, and would like to restore it to Server "B" on our network. Both servers are identical but i'm not sure if it is possible to redirect the restore from Server "A" to Server "B"

Any Help would be great,

Thanks,
Jim

Hi jimi33, May I know is your veritas installed in Server A?
And is there tape drive in Server B.

If not, maybe you can try using remote backup Server A by installing Veritas BE onto one of the Servers in your network, which will be the Media Server.

After backing up Server A, take it offline and remote restore to Server B, So that you won't have a nightmare restore back to the worng Server.

Hope it help.

Hey Thanks Rolanks for the help.

Actually Server "C" is my main backup server which has the tape drive attached to it. It is used to backup all my servers. I have a full backup of Server "A" but now want to restore it to Server "B" which is on the same network. Since Server "A" is a production server, it's hard for me to take it offline. I was reading on Veritas's website and it stated something about a redirect. Am i able to redirect the restore to a different server or is that not suggested?
