Have you looked at yet for their ASP tutorial? Its a good starting resource.

I found "Sam's teach yourself E-Commerce Programming with ASP in 21 days" (Walther & Levine) very helpful. I didn't know any ASP before reading the book so it's quite good for total beginners in ASP.
one of the best books i've found is kind of hard to get your hands on but it covers ASP JS and XML , comes with a CD and has GREAT reference guides in it for methods and properties of objects :

it's Que Books Platinum Edition - Using HTML 4.0, XML, and JAVA 1.2 granted it's old but all the functionality of old languages are still present, you'd just need a little catchup on the part of version revisions
