Does anyone know of an app that can provide some / all of the functionality of Connectix's Virtual PC, that'll run on a Mac / PC . I'd get Virtual PC, but I was quoted about $300 ( not bad, for those earning Dollars - not the case for me)

well ...?

You can get Virtual PC in different versions. If you only need basic Windows programs to run, you can get Virtual PC with Windows 95 (instead of Windows 98) for $149.95 at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> (I promise I have no affiliation with them--actually I have never even bought anything from them)

They also have just the DOS version (no Windows, just DOS) for 74.95

I don't know if they still make SoftWindows and I can't tell you if it's cheaper or "better".

We use Virtual PC on a few of our G3 Molar machines (beige 233 Mhz all-in-one) and it runs fairly well for the software we're using.

i agree softwindows goes for about a $100 for windows 98 and run faster.

If you've got a Windows CD I guess you could buy the DOS version of VPC then load Windows on top. Has anyone tried this?
