Any GIS s/w in linux

HI!,
I am kinda new to linux .. I just wanted to know if there were any GIS softwares available in Linux, and also some CAD softwares. I would love it if there were some open source softwares, so that I can tune them for my required outputs.

I have tried several Linux CAD programs, but none that I would consider "complete" . QCAD is nice, but I don't think it handles 3D.
