Hi,

Is it possible to have:

NMO 4.1 with oracle 10g under NetWorker server 7.4 ?

NMO 4.1 with oracle 8i under NetWorker client 7.4 ?
NMO 3.0.1 with oracle 9i under NetWorker client 7.4 ?
NML 3.0 with Lotus Domino 7.0 under NetWorker client 7.4 ?

In fact, I do not find theses informations on the last software compatibility guide under Powerlink

Thanks for your help,
Best regards,

Marc

The SCG only allows you to look at NMO against OS and wether this can handle Oracle/Lotus Notes version.

Unfortunately not knowing your OS, we cannot answer your query.

I can confirm I am running NMO4.2 against NW7.4 Server for Solaris 9.

Thanks mblm07,

Here are the informations :

Is it possible to have:

NMO 4.1 with oracle 10g under NetWorker server 7.4 under HP UX B.11.11 ?
NMO 4.1 with oracle 9i under NetWorker server 7.4 under Solaris 8 ?

NMO 4.1 with oracle 8i under NetWorker client 7.4 under HP UX B.11.11 ?
NMO 3.0.1 with oracle 9i under NetWorker client 7.4 under HP UX B.11.23 ?
NML 3.0 with Lotus Domino 7.0 under NetWorker client 7.4 under Solaris 8 ?

Where are the documents on Powerlink that answers theses questions ? I do not find them

Thanks for your help,
Best regards,

Marc

- It's rman that does all the work, remember the NMO only provides an api to allow the rman backup to be written to tape so as long as the NetWorker version is supported on the OS you should be ok with NW7.4 and NMO 7.x, but as below consult release notes too

- Consult online NMO Release Notes for the latest support information, including required patches, hotfixes and limitations.

NMO 4.1 with oracle 10g under NetWorker server 7.4 under HP UX B.11.11 ? (I would say yes, as -- below)
NMO 4.1 with oracle 8i under NetWorker client 7.4 under HP UX B.11.11 ? (I would say yes, as -- below)

-- NMO 4.1 for HP-UX (32-bit) HP-UX 11.0, 11.11(11i) Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7
-- NMO 4.1 for HP-UX (64-bit) HP-UX 11.0, 11.11(11i) Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, 9.2, 10.1 (10G R1), 10.2 (10G R2)

NMO 4.1 with oracle 9i under NetWorker server 7.4 under Solaris 8 ? (I would say Yes, as -- below)

-- NMO 4.1 for Solaris SPARC (32-bit) Solaris 2.6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, 9.2
-- NMO 4.1 for Solaris SPARC (64-bit) Solaris 7, 8, 9, 10 Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, 9.2, 10.1 (10G R1), 10.2 (10G R2)

NMO 3.0.1 with oracle 9i under NetWorker client 7.4 under HP UX B.11.23 ? (I would say NO, as Oracle 9i not listed below)

NMO 3.0 for HP-UX 11 (32-bit) HP-UX 11.0 Oracle 8.0.3.2, 8.0.4, 8.0.5, 8.0.6, 8.1.5, 8.1.6, 8.1.7
NMO 3.0 for HP-UX 11 (64-bit) HP-UX 11.0 Oracle 8.0.5, 8.0.6, 8.1.5, 8.1.6, 8.1.7

NML 3.0 with Lotus Domino 7.0 under NetWorker client 7.4 under Solaris 8 ? (I would say yes -- as below)

-- NML 3.0 for Solaris SPARC (32-bit) Solaris 8, 9, 10 Lotus Domino Server 6.0.1, 6.0.2 CF2, 6.0.3, 6.0.4, 6.0.5, 6.5,
6.5.1 IF 1, 6.5.2, 6.5.3, 6.5.4, 6.5.5, 6.5.6, 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2, 7.0.3,
8.0 (without DB2)

Hope this helps,
mblm07

Thanks mblm07 !!

So for example, concerning :

> NMO 4.1 with oracle 10g under NetWorker server 7.4 under > HP UX B.11.11 ? (I would say yes, as -- below)
>NMO 4.1 with oracle 8i under NetWorker client 7.4 under HP >UX B.11.11 ? (I would say yes, as -- below)

> -- NMO 4.1 for HP-UX (32-bit) HP-UX 11.0, 11.11(11i) >Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7
>-- NMO 4.1 for HP-UX (64-bit) HP-UX 11.0, 11.11(11i) >Oracle 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1, 9.2, 10.1 (10G R1), 10.2 (10G >R2)

Even if the document does not mentionned NetWorker 7.4.x (but only mentionned the NMO version and the Operating System), I must consider that each version of NetWorker of 7.4.x functions under NMO version and the OS specified ??

Thanks,
Best regards,

Marc

Yes exactly, there are some small print comments (as below) and double check with the release notes for the relevant version but that should be the case.

-- NMO supports all filesystems supported by NetWorker Client, Oracle and PowerSnap (if applicable)

With Lotus Notes it actually says what we want to hear.

-- Consult “NetWorker Server and Client Support” section for the supported NetWorker Client versions on specific operating system version. NML supports all currently supported NetWorker 7.3.x and earlier Client
versions. NML 3.0 supports NetWorker 7.4 Client.

Thanks mblm07 for your help,

Best regards,
Marc
