Any Bench Mark Test

Hi! I have been selected to write a CORBA interface/ java implementation to move TIFF 4 images from RS\6000 AIX Server to be displayed on a web page. I know how to do it, but I need to know if anyone out there ran a bench mark testing on doing it with the CORBA solution as opposed to pulling the image fromt the jukebox? (Currently, the RS\6000 has jukebox technology where the images are stored on a CD. The latency of the arm roughly takes approximately 12 seconds. The page to be displayed on the net approximately takes 40 seconds.
