I have a Word document provided by the local sherriff's department with deadbeat parents that I need to get out approximately 200 photos and size, color mode, etc. in Photoshop. Any automated way to do this, or just keep copying and pasting from the clipboard to PS.

Have PS CS2 on Mac OS 10.4.8

Thanks,
Donna

I think you should get the DeadBeats to do it for you!!!

Not sure exactly what your question is but if the problem is "the pics are imbedded in a MSWord file", can't you select all the pics in the MSWord file then paste then to a Folder and go from there?

If it seems that I don't understand your question, re-phrase it a bit.

Can you go back to the sheriff department and ask for a different format? I had the exact thing happen to me with a general fugitive list. The sheriff department was thinking that they were helping by doing a merge in Word. They should have all that data in a database and a load of individual JPG files. Ask them for this raw data; it will save both of you time.

Also: can you drag the photos from Word to a Finder folder?

...you could try to print to pdf and export all images under the advanced menu in acrobat (if you have acrobat pro available to you)...

I did fill a word doc with a bunch of .jpg's then selected and copied them to the clipboard then pasted them to a folder.

It seemed to work fine but I agree dmacaster should try to ask for the files as a bunch of jpgs not imbedded in word etc.

Thanks, all - I will try dragging - they're not great at different formats. I didn't even think of draggging. Well, I'll let you know if I come up with anything different.

I did try saving the word file as an html project to rename the pix - some issues with order there.

Thanks,
Donna
