When I install and anti spyware, like Spybot, I get a prompt so often asking me if I should allow the change in the registry or not.
I woud like it to deny the change systematically without asking me. You know why.
But it does not give this option.

If I am installing something and know there will be changes in the registry, I simply stop the Anti Spyware and then run it again afterwards.

My question is: What anti adware/spyware you recommend that does kills those idiocies without bugging me?

Thank you in advance.

Alternatively you can disable TeaTimer, which is the monitoring progie within SpyBot S&D...

Ben

If it works don't fix it! If it doesn't use a sledgehammer...

Killing teatimer kills the protection though. Best bet, go with the Microsoft spyware beta.

You'll still get prompts, however, they're much fewer in number and only on items that are unidentifiable (.bat files and the like, or known bad executables).

I am using the anti-spyware from Microsoft now and very happy with it.
At least they know what dll files are part of windows and what can safely be deleted without asking me to decide.

Thanks for the advice.
