Hello,

We have a CS1000 and now we source out our conference bridge. The cs1000 conference module is 20,000 does anyone have any other alternatives.

I was suggested to use asterix for a linux distribution on a VM ?

Any suggestions?

Had a client that paid MCI 4 grand a month for Conference services and were hacked for information 4 times. They bought a MICB III with 64 ports for 32 Grand. It paid for it self in 9 months and they scheduled conferences all day long with SECURITY in-house.

We had the 32 port MICB4 "in a previous life" and it paid for itself in 6 months. $20k may sound like a lot NOW but if you work out the ROI you'll find that it's not much at all. The ROI will probably surprise your CXOs

And if you use an external solution (Asterisk, Sonexis,..), you will still need to purchase/licence/install interfaces between your CS 1000 and that solution.

Have had good luck with an Accord (Polycom) MGC series behind the pbx, connected with PRI's. They are pricy but pay for themselves quickly.
