Looking to upgrade two of our RAID arrays. One is an external array attached to an x345 via SCSI. The other server is an x346 with an internal array. I want to replace both with two external arrays.

My questions:

1. Can I get just one external array and have 2 logical drives, one for each of the two servers?

2. I'm considering using SSD drives instead of HDDs. Any comment?

3. Considering this hardware:
M5025 card, EXP2524 with SSD drives, RAID 5.

All comments and advice appreciated.

Never mind...just realized my x345/x346 don't have PCIe slots which the M5025 card requires...
