antivirus software : f-secure antivirus for file servers 5.42

OS : windows 2000 server with sp4
clients : win2k sp3 winxp sp1

problem : the following error is generated on the client's machine : Product: Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -- Error 1311. Source file not found(cabinet): \\server\Managed Software\OFFICE_XP_2003_CD_E\E2561410.CAB. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

solution : disable antivirus real-time scanning

here's my question : are there any temp folders used on the server side when pushing MSI packages? if so, what is it? We tried to exclude the MANAGED SOFTWARE from being scanned, but we received the same error as described above...

regards,

I think that realtime scanning will scan any file that is being pushed to the machine regardless of where its destination is. Not positive, but I think that is how it behaves.
