Help!
I have antivirus Plus virus and I can seem to get it removed. I keep getting redirected when I click links on any webpage. Can anyone help?

It probably can be removed same as these - there are several variants of the same/similar thing. Antivirus 360 is another similar one.

Here are my personal suggestions:

If you do not have another machine to download programs with, then attempt to boot into Safe-Mode with networking.

If you can't boot into safe mode with networking and get to the sites, then try doing the same, and then looking through your processes using Task Manager. Kill any that look suspicious (worse thing that'll happen is you cause your machine to restart - and then you'll know not to kill that process next time. [wink])

[ul][li]MalwareBytes Anti-Malware[/li]
[li]Dr Web Cure-It - there's also a bootable CD version on the DrWeb site as well.[/li]
[li]Super AntiSpyware[/li]
[li]Windows Defender if you don't already have it installed (Windows 2000/XP - is installed in Vista by default)[/li]
[li]AVG Free 2008[/li]
[li]CCleaner[/li]
[li]Online Armor - firewall, etc.[/li]
[li]SpywareBlaster[/li][/ul]

All the above suggested apps are free, or else have free versions.

Use DrWeb to scan right away, and remove what it can. Then install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, and run a scan.. then once that's done, give SuperAntiSpyware a go round. After all of those are finished, try to get Windows Defender and AVG (unless you have some other AV preference) installed, and run scans with each. THEN after all of that, install CCleaner, and use it to clean out all the temp files - you may want to customize its options, as you may not want some temp type files deleted, such as the Regedit history, Windows Search history, etc. Then again, if you've been infected, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just wipe everything it can wipe.

On the other hand, if you have the time, and are comfortable doing this, then the absolute best idea would be to format your drive with DBAN and then reinstall Windows, etc. Just remember that if you format, you lose EVERYTHING. If you use DBAN, be sure only the hard drive you want to format is connected to the computer during the time of format.

Whatever you do, be sure to post back with your progress.

Its also important, once you have the programs installed to run DrWeb etc in safe mode (without networking).
