I have NIS 2002 on a Windows 98SE machine. My Norton Internet Security is not working properly in that the firewall (globe)loads but the antivirus does not (not in tray, not from start, programs, norton antivirus---it just does a one second movement but nothing opens). I had paused it to do a system scan and don't know if that did something to it. When I do a Norton Internet Security scan it doesn't mention anything wrong with my system but it's kind of nerve-wracking reading email without it. Thanks.

Thanks for your suggestion. It was working fine then my computer started not shutting down properly so shut everything down in the tray, ran a fix-it and a the back-up for Norton (win 98 from Nov) but it just wouldn't load. Gave up and called Norton (Minnesota), deleted it and got another one and so far so good. I don't know if switching from 2 identities in Outlook Express caused a problem. Anyway, so far working OK.
