I had to deal with a dose of AntiVirus 360 this morning, it looks like a modification of AntiVirus 2008-2009.

HijackThis and MalwareBytes seemed to remove it ok.

Just wanted to raise a red flag on this.

Thanks and regards,
David.

I run CCCleaner first to remove all temp files. Then I run malwarebytes then spybot. That ususally gets everything I run into. Occassionally I need to run SuperAntispyware.

I've tried this, but can't get MalwareBytes to run for some reason. Uninstalled it and re-installed it 3 times. Running xp. Trying to get rid of Antivirus 360 also. Everything else seems to work. Thoughts?

I would suggest running Spybot then super antispyware and then return to malware bytes after removing everything those find.

You might try to install and run under a different user account.

Glen - boot into SafeMode with Networking, download a fresh copy of MBAM but use the SAFE AS method and rename the exe to TEST.EXE, then install MBAM and it should work...

there are malware out there that look for the name of the MBAM installer and mess with it...
