If a user has 2 lines and does not want to press the line button to answer a call on either line, where is that configured? They want to pick up the handset without having to press a button. CUCM 9x/7900 series phones.

Auto Call Select needs to be enabled.

Where is auto call select enabled? On the phone page itself or is it a service wide parameter?

I found it on the phone's configuration page. It's send to enabled but doesn't work.

To answer your first question it can be both.

Even though a restart should make it take effect, did you reset it?

Is this all phones? A certain phone? What model and firmware?

It's 7962 phones. I think it's a system wide parameter that needs to be set - use prime line needs to be set to false.

I looked at one of my clusters, and yes we have it set to false.

Yes that's what it was. I change the parameter to false and it works. I'm still puzzled as to why the auto call select did not work.

It's 9.x. Right on the phone configuration form - auto call select. Anyway the issue is resolved.
