Answer supervision for 5300 router

I have a 5300 router connected to a CAC FXO channel bank, which is connected to some analog lines. How do I configure the 5300 to detect the answer supervison? Does 5300 have the setting for FXO loopstart?

Urgent help!

I think the default setting is loop-start, but to configure it, go into the voice-port configuration and type "signal loop" or "signal ?" to see the options (ground or loop).

Call supervision was introduced for the 5300 in IOS release 12.1.5T

The link provided does not refer to 5300. Do you know if the software will work the same in 5300?

Yes. I thought it mentioned the 5300 on that page somewhere, but I guess not. Because this doc refers to an IOS software release, it should covers all IOS platforms that support FXOs unless otherwise specified.

If you need both answer supervision and disconnect supervision you can replace the CAC with a channel bank made by Pleiades Communications (pleiadescom.com). This bank performs Answer/disconnect supervision.
