Hi all,

I don't normally work with Panasonic products. I have one customer using a KX-TD1232 in a home/business operation with about 13 telephones. I have all the phones working and ringing as required with 3 lines. They want to use a TVP50 voicemail to answer 2 of the 3 lines with one mailbox. One line is ringing to only one set and does not require a mailbox. I have the voicemail working and have created the mailbox (they could use the GD mailbox if this is easier to implement).

It does not seem quite straight forward to have just the mailbox answer all calls on 2 ringing lines after 4 rings. If the ringing telephone is set to CFNA it only forwards calls to the extension not the ringing outside lines. It seems like the AA must answer first before the call can be routed to the mailbox. This makes it more complex than we really need.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a pdf here that tells you how to set a group mailbox
for 20 exts makes tvs/p act like a anweering machine but don't ask me how I can get it to you I am not paying for file space to get it to you.

set up intercept routing for all incoming trunk groups to a dummy ext and record a no answer message on it and then give every one in the place a message waiting light for that ext. voila

Thank you for the replies.

I have opened a FTP site to up-load the PDF, if this works for you. I will leave it up for a few hours.

ftp://216.183.137.168

I can set-up the intercept routing to a dummy extension. I am guessing that I assign a mailbox to this dummy extension and all calls will intercept route the mailbox.

Hi cwc3,

I did send a thank you by way of e-mail. I got side tracked yesterday and have not visited the customer. I may not see then until next week.

Thanks again for the help. You did go out of your way and it is much appreciated.

Will let you know how I made out.

Bye for now,
Rob
