Answer DN to wrong voicemail

My customer has a Norstar MICS 6.0 XC. They are extensive users of answer DN. In many cases the answer DN phone also recieves the voice mail message of the caller noy the called phone voice mail. It doesn't happen on all phones. IWith previous software all calls were always answered by the called ext. voice mail. Is this inherent to the software and how do I correct it?

The FNA (forward no answer) on the phones that have the answer dn on it, is coming into play. The phone dosen't care if it's ringing because its getting called or its ringing because the answer dn is ringing.

Thank you for the info on call forward no answer. I am aware of it. The call forward no answer simply forwards to the voice mail system. How do I prevent the caller from being fowarded to the answer DN's mail box instead of the called ext. mailbox?

Try increase the fna rings on the set with the answer dn because usually the answer dn set only starts the ring cycle after 2 rings.

On Norstar calls in FNA or FB go to VM of DN with lowest port number if rings are same. Both of the previous posts are correct. Make it not ring or up the rings on the DN getting the wrong messages.
