Answer DN Question

If I need to make 3 extensions ring on a system from a AA menu I need to assign all 3 extensions a Answer DN. My question do i need spare ports on the digital extension side to do this... Example is if I pick 300 do I need a station port available to make 3oo ring on 3 extensions and then go to reception if no answer on the 3 sets ??

ANS DN is designed to cover someones phone. From your description use a Hunt Group, provided the software is 4.1 or higher.

If I use a hunt group how will the voicemail work for the hunt group. All 3 extensions have a voicemail box already so what happens to the call for the hunt group.

You create a mailbox for the Hunt Group DN.

But it will not show up on any set if there is a message correct....

You can add a msg waiting ext to the MB as long as the ext does not already have a mailbox. Or you can use msg notification.
