I have a phone that I put an answer key on. Problem is, when this person forwards her phone to voicemail (F984) when you call the extention that she has and answer key for, you go to her voicemail......any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are both this extension and the answer key extension configured to use the same mailbox in callpilot?
If so this is likely the problem... use Feature 4 (F4) from that set to forward instead to the voicemail DN. To find the voicemail DN, use F985. This should cause that DN only to go to voicemail without affecting the answer key DN.
Thanks cook1082. I figured that this is what the answer was I just had to hear from someone else. This is ridiculous. Nortel needs to apply the same feature that a CS1000 can do when it comes to simple things like this....unreal! But again, thanks for the response.
DigitelD. I've been in this business for 25 years. I know the difference between the 2 systems. I have been working on Norstar's since they were invented and my office was a Beta site for Enterpirise Edge. I was just making a point. It stands to reason that Nortel has it's issues. If you take notice I was blasting Nortel not you.
I am not debating your years of service nor am I debating if you know the difference between a key system and a PBX. My point is that so many want PBX features on a key system and you can't have everything. My apologies for the offense.
