Admin who answers calls for two gents(answer DN's). She doesn't want to use call park or transfer to send the call to the gents after she screens the call is there any other options?

She stated she answered the call before(in an old Norstar system) using an aswer DN and after she screened the call would press a key (she not sure what the ftr key was) wich then made the call appear on the gents phone who the call was for. It would just flash not ring on his set.She then would get up and knock on his door to tell him who it is.

She only wants this option (lucky me!)
answer DN : once answered from set A will not show up on set B
camp on maybe?
Thanks

She probaly had line apperances of his lines plus they were probaly analog but if these lines are DIDs ,park or transfer is the only way unless you use the SWCA feature. This is parking a call and it shows on pre programed buttons.

Now how much sense does that make. Answer the call, forward the call and physically knock on someones door just to tell them who the caller is.

Let the system do the work for you. That's just my opinion.

:)

Tell her that when the phone rings, knock on the guy's door. Answer his phone and ask the callers name. Then she can put it on hold and hand the receiver to guy in the office.

Streamline the process. Eliminate her telephone and redeploy it to another person.

(Sorry - my attempt at bad humor before the 4th cup of coffee)

Better yet, redeploy HER to another company.
