ANSWER DN LOCKUP ON A BCM400 4.0

This customer has over 100 digital sets in a Mental Health Facility. I set up Ans Dns on all sets with a bogus DN to allow them to press this and get HELP from another employee. The BCM has a DTI card and when this application is used, the T-1 locks up. The whole system needs reset. I dont read of any limitations on the number of Ans Dns on a BCM. Anyone having this problem?
 
I don't know if it's in the documentation, but my expierence has shown that using over 40-something Answer DNs will be a problem. Can you elaborate on the purpose again?

Answer DN are for receiving a call not making one. Maybe I didn't understand what your trying to do or how your doing it.

This customer is running 4.1 and is patched with the latest CTI. The application is for suicide or violent patents. If an issue arises, the "Help" button or Ans Dn button can be pressed and it will notify all other 100 sets. We have not tried this since the latest patch has been added. We used this application on the customers previuos MICS system with not problems. We are planning to test this again with a few sets, then keep adding a few at a time. Thanks all for your input
 
I'm with ace. You can't press an Answer DN button and call anyone. You can have an Answer DN that will ring when that DN is dialed, but you'd need an Internal Autodial. Why not use Internal Page Zone 1, "Mayday, Mayday"?

The have an auto dial button labeled "Help" and when it is pressed it dials the bogus Dn that happens to be an Answer Dn on everyones telephone. Sorry about the confusion. I will attempt this application with 40 sets...Thanks again
 
Anothet tweak you could try is use an Active DN as your Answer DN, instead of a Phantom/Inactive DN. Make it the Security desk.

I'm with Deweyhumbolt use the PAGE and you don't have to wait for someone to answer, everyone hears it at the same time.
