It is remarkably difficult to find a link that lists the Ansi-92 standards. Does anyone know of one? the site for the American National Standards Institute is impossible. I need to compare syntactical differences between ANSI-86 and ANSI-92

Thanks for your help

i don't think there is one

there are some good books out there, though, and that's probably your best bet

did you have a specific area if difference in syntax you were curious about? INNER JOIN syntax, perhaps?

thanks, terry

that january 2003 TDAN article is fabulous ;o)

Hi Terry,

the latest drafts for SQL:2003 can be downloaded not only from Whitemarsh, also from the official site (sqlstandards.org)

ftp://sqlstandards.org/SC32/WG3/Progression_Documents/Informal_working_drafts

Some older standards are also available ;-)

Dieter,

Thanks. I had tried to access the SQL Standards site while revising the FAQ recently and had difficulty connecting. I didn't want to add a link that was not functioning. I connected quickly today so have now modified the FAQ to add a link to the standards informal working drafts. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
