Another utility to run B4 moving to 2k3 domain?

Hey all,

While on the MS website several weeks ago I saw a utility that needs to be run before people who have an Exchange 2000 server can upgrade to a Windows 2003 domain. I'm now ready to get rolling with the upgrade but I can't seem to find the utility. Does anyone know where I can find it or what the utility is called???

Are you referring to the inetorgperson fix where Exchange 2000 does not use properly formatted display names? If so, you can find the info and fix here:

Hi Yanks2112,

I was under the impresssion that there was a utility that needed to be run on an Exchange 2000 server "before" running the adprep and forestprep commands. Unless I'm reading it wrong KB article 314649 tells how to fix the mangled attributes, not how to prevent the attributes from getting mangled in the first place. Any additional enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I found what I was looking for. It's in KB article 325379 and it lists instructions on what to do to prepare an Exchange 2000 server for upgrading to a Windows 2003 domain.
