I ran CHKDSK on my C: (from a CD) and it kinda said all the files were corrupt and started deleting them all. (under removing or fixing indexes), then it said something about restoring orphaned files and before I knew it my hard drive was "blank".

Does anyone know of a way I can get ALL of the files back (inc. The operating system ones)?

Alex.

try ontrack. has a free test to see if it can even recover anything.

I shall use google before asking stupid questions!

'I ran CHKDSK on my C: (from a CD)' - why, what was wrong? Which CD? - something like PE builder?

Is there more to the story? 'before I knew it my hard drive was "blank".'

A data recovery tool may do the job for you - obviously try rclarke20's suggestion - also Google for others - here's another (not free) suggestion:-
