Like the rest of you, I'm always looking for something else to prevent spyware... especially in the workplace. About two months ago, I stumbled upon an open source method of prevention. The name of the software is Privoxy, and more information can be found here. I've noticed a significant decrease in the spyware at the workplace since installing it. One cool feature is it can be installed and ran locally (home use, just on one PC), or it can be set up as a proxy server for an entire network. I went the proxy server route, and it has been running great on a 800mhz PC with 256MB RAM. I figured I would not cause any harm posting this since it is open source, but If I did- Sorry.
