Hi All,

I am importing with an excel file that has a date column but as text format. all the values in this field is formatted as "mm/dd/yyyy" ex. "06/15/2007".

i am stuck on converting this text string to a proper date in Access. many attempts were made by using a combination of dateserial, mid(), left() and right() but nothing flows.

i am trying to do this in a query and am using Access 2000

Please advise..

Thanks
