I am having problems with one spectralink handset. Once switched on and trying to connect to PBX is displays SKT Open Failed.

I've read that this basically means that the handset can't communicate with the controller. I also have about 5 other handsets and they are fine..

anyone seen this before?

using WPA. can't think it's this as the other phones, configured excately the same work...

Just asking, might be mistyping or something like this. Does it get an IP address?

yes it does get IP...it does everything right up until the point it wants to connect to the controller

HI,

I had this problem too;

SKT=socket open fail.

Seems to be a network problem.

Do you use a SVp server ?
Is ICP connected on the same LAN as the SVP server ?

Now, it's about French users too !!!

Do oyu have enough alias addresses in your svp as each set uses 2 ip addresses. The one it gets and a alias from the svp. secondly are these only for the spectralink as in are they outside the dhcp scope.

yes there are enough IP and yes they are outside the scope
thanks

I do use a SVP server and the ICP is not connected to the same subnet, however had the same problem with the wireless phones and SVP server within the same subnet.
This is a multi site installation
