Could you look this one over? There's still one unfinished section (the photo gallery) so I don't need to know that there's nothing in it ;-) Also the text is still full of typos as it was supplied by the client and I haven't done anything but basic formatting so far - I'll spellcheck at a later date. A music track is also yet to be added...

Here it is...

What I could do with knowing:

1)How long to download over your link (especially dial-ups)?

2)It's 150K - I never usually go above 80K but I liked the feel of this as one movie - if you were a fan of the featured artist would you wait for the download or want each section as a separate entity? The photo gallery will be a separate series of movies though as it contains about 100 shots.

3) Scroll buttons - I like 'em small but did you find them without any headscratching? Likewise with the rest of the navigation options.

4) All the text is loaded in dynamically - how long were you waiting for it?

Hi!

It took 20 seconds to load on my computer (56kps, 196MB RAM); totally reasonable amount of time; no problem finding the scroll buttons (nice auto feature)although it would be nice if I didn't have to use the browser scroll to switch between them (I only have a 15 inch screen so if I've just used the lower one & want to get to the upper I have to scroll up on my browser). The wait on my computer was way below other sites I visit, and yes, if I'm interested in an artist, I'll wait up to a minute or so for a page to load. The text was there instantly for me.
Hope that helps!

56k Dial up
1000mhz
256mb ram
IE 5.5

Load time around 1 minute

Found the scroll buttons ok but I prefer the onPress as it gives more control

Text loaded very quick, wouldn't know it was loaded dynamiclly

Q2, I'd wait as it's not that long really

Hope this helps

BTW Wicked site, love the animation between sections:) funkymonk B-)

Took like 28 seconds on my 56k dialup connected at 45,333 bps. You're not preloading all of it (before you start the movie playing), if I'm not mistaken, and hitting a lower item on the list, had to wait a few seconds before the text showed up.

No problem with my cable connextion... 3-4 seconds, and texts are already there, no problem!

As with the dial-up, scrolls work fine but are too fast for my liking... Then again must be because I'm old!

looking good dave ;-)

As always, thanks folks.

I've slowed the scroll down by half rather than just go with framerate as suggested and also gone with on(press) - I was in two minds about the rollover scrolling all along and you made my mind up Rod. Cheers.

Also made text selectable (will format it properly soon but I hate typing) - nice one Dave, it never occured to me until you suggested it. And a star for picking up on the Captain Caveman reference...

ran great for me as well ewan...nice job!
