OK, I have about 20 unix servers, after a reboot all the servers retain the correct default route accept about three of them. They revert back to a default route that is no longer used. I have changed the /etc/rc2.d/S99route file to the correct route and the permissons on the file to 744. I have also checked out the /etc/default/tcp file and compared them to servers that are working. I can not find where the heck these things are pulling the old gateway from. Is there any other files to look at? Already checked the /etc/rc.d/8 file as well.

You may analyze the output produced by:
(cd /etc/rc2.d; grep route *)

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks,

For the reply, but I found my problem. Someone previous to me had modified the /etc/tcp file and put the old route into there.
