Is it possible to have more than one comptuer connect to the same socket/port, or do you have to make a new socket/port each time a different client computer connects to the server?

For instance, I have a computer that connects to the server on port 10, Could the next computer (having a different IP) connect to port 10 also? Thanks in advance for any info!

Yes, you can make a computer work as a server which can accept many client connections. In this case the Server will be the machine to which other machines want to connect through the port 10 for this machine.
