Two computers (one in the back and one in the front) are running XP Home (on a LAN) and the back one already has a host server installed on it. Once connected to this host is it possible to connect to the front computer (also running a host) through the back one?

The internet is only set up for the back computer and I will need to update the front one as well.

please clarify what do what to accomplish,
use internet on a LAN? you don't need pcanywhere
use pcanywhere from computer 1 connect top computer 2 then computer 2 will connect to computer 1, you can connect to multiple host's
