Please help, I don't want to lose my 30+ page brochure.
My mac suffered from a hard drive failure. Brought it into a repair shop and we were able to salvage many files, but some were damaged.

Here's the error message when I try to open it:

Cannot open "cnrbrochure2.indd".
The file "cnrbrochure2.indd" is damaged and cannot be recovered (Error code: 5).

This is what I've tried so far:
-repair permissions
-moved all links so they cannot be read by the file
-replaced a corrupt link
-have someone else open it from their computer

Thanks in advance!

Sean

You can try using Find to search for "indesign recovery" as that might have something, but it's doubtful since your drive got hosed.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

yeah I don't think that's going to work, the drive crapped out, and we had to clean install everything. I'm pretty sure I have to replace this drive soon...I have a feeling it's going to pull the same stunt on me again.
