Another Microsoft Project Reporting Question

Is there any way to export a report that is generated in Microsoft Project to excel or a text file? In my version of project (2000), it only seems to let me print the reports.

Also, is there any way to perform a summary on a customized report? Basically I need to get the # of tasks that fit the criteria of the filter that I have applied to generate the report. Right now, the only way I can do that is run the report and manually count the tasks on the printout of the report.

Printing to a text file requires the use of VBA and knowledge of the underlying object model.
