I'have an AIX 5.3 server with 16G of memory.
I run some oracle database and tuxedo on it.
And I'm experiencing page in/page out i can't explain.
I have listed all the command using working segments with
svmon -Pw
Then i have listed all the segments for those commands with:
svmon -C <command name> -w
Then i sum the size of all those segments adding each vsid only one time (am i wrong ?).
The result is 2545724 pages ( near 10G ).
I have set maxperm% to 14.
So 86% of my memory (near 14,5G) is dedicated to working segments, isnt it ?
But i still have page in/page out in vmstat, and i don't understand why.
Anyone can explain me what i'm missing ?
