I have chosen this path...

70-210 - done
70-290 - done
70-291 - done
70-228 (administering sql 2000) - studying
----
70-293
70-294
70-297 - AD network Design

70-228 is SQL 2000, is there a 2005 equivalent? This sounds easy to search for but I can't find a definitive answer.

thanks!

For SQL Server 2005 Microsoft has moved away from the MCDBA cert to the new system of certs.

To get the MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Exam 70–431: Implementation and Maintenance

To get the MCITP: Database Developer
Exam 70–441: PRO: Designing Database Solutions by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Open License 6.0
Exam 70–442: PRO: Designing and Optimizing Data Access by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005

To get the MCITP: Database Administrator
Exam 70–443: PRO: Designing a Database Server Infrastructure by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Exam 70–444: PRO: Optimizing and Maintaining a Database Administration Solution by Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005

At least one or two of these can be used as an elective for the MCSA and MCSE exams.

MCSA (2003) / MCDBA (SQL 2000)
MCTS (SQL 2005 / Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0: Configuration / Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007: Configuration)
MCITP Database Administrator (SQL 2005) / Database Developer (SQL 2005)

If I was to stick with 70-228, after all those exams above are passed, is that a valid MCSE in Widnows 2003?

Thanks heaps Denny.

Yeah it should.

Here is the Microsoft page on getting your MCSE
