Another IIS 5.1 and XP Pro upgrade problem

I recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 2000 Pro to XP Pro. When I go into my IIS panel everything looks fine but when I try running my asp pages my machine will not recongized the extension. I have read some of the documents on the internet about inserting my xp cd and re-installing IIS. The strange things is that when I go a click IIS the checkbox is grayed out. Any suggestions to why this is happening? Are there any solutions to this?
