I saw a while back somebody had a problem with hyperlinks. Mine is similar, but not quite the same, hence this new thread. I'm using Indesign 2 on Windows 98. I'm setting up a template to create PDFs for on-screen reading, very similar to the Adobe Magazine PDF. And like the Adobe Magazine I have created small boxes at the top of the screen to indicate where the reader is in the document. However, I have hyperlinked the boxes so that you can click on them and they will take you to a given page. I then copied these boxes on to all the other pages and the hyperlinks multiplied accordingly. But when I export the file to PDF the hyperlinks don't work (yes, I included them in the export preferences), and if I do anything with the hyperlinks pallette Indesign stalls.
(Also, I'm looking how to create a "close" funtion, to close a document, for a button created in Indesign 2. I know you can do it in CS, and you can do it in Acrobat, but the button appears on every page and would take me ages to do it in Acrobat.)
All help is very welcome,
David
