Hello there... I have another one of these hovering links questions :) the thing is: I have defined my links in a separate .css file to be all the same when unclicked, active and visited, but a:hover is different. Now I'd like the links to abandon their visited status... I mean once I've visited a link, it does not change its appearance when I point the mouse at it any longer. I've tried deleting the a:visited definitions which led to the hover effect working again but otherwise the link had the usual IE visited look (underlined, violet, not bold) and I don't want that. Anyone have a good idea?

Anticipating... I know there's brilliant minds out there :)

So, you have attributes established for:

A:ACTIVE
A:VISITED
A:HOVER

and what else? Do you have one for plain ol' A? Kevin

Try setting a:visited to the SAME attributes as a:normal. Tracy Dryden

Okay... good morning to you, and this is what I have:

a:link
a:hover
a:active
a:visited

These are all the same except a:hover is different. I just thought of trying to set one general definition for links and one extra for a:hover, so I'll try that now, but as it is, the links come out as described above, they don't change anymore once they've been visited.

... and back I am: it works! I just set up definitions for a and a:hover and now they come out as I wanted them to. Thanks!
