Anonymous user through ISA

When using Imesh or other similar clients, the request comes through the ISA server as an anonymous user instead of having an associated NT domain user ID as happens with Http and Ftp requests. Thus when I restrict access you can not be authenticated and access is denied. I need to restrict access because we do not want ALL users to be capable of using Winsock based clients
We have the proxy client installed and functional on the client machines.

I don't totally follow your question. I have found that if you have a gateway assigned, that a program might bypass the proxy client and forward as a securenat client, thus being annoym. Check for more info to help you out.
