We recently upgraded our office to r2002. We have some custom menus that create anonymous blocks. We have been using these menus for several years in both r14 and r2000i and have no problems. However, in r2002 when using our menu to insert these blocks, after we have inserted a few, we get an error message telling us that the block exists and do we want to redefine. The whole point of using the anonymous blocks was so that they would be randomly named and the redefine thing would not occur. Usually (in r14 and 2000i)these anonymous blocks would be named with 5 digits followed by a $ and then the name of the block. For example...12345$A-8. But now the block names are only 1 digit and the $ ex. 8$A-8. I think that this is the key to the problem, but I have no clue as to how to solve this. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

we use customised drop down menus with slides for inserting frequently used blocks relating to our industry, when upgrading to 2002 I had a problem inserting where a dialogue box would appear with the last inserted block and not the block I wanted to insert, the solution was to edit the menu file to read "-INSERT" instead of "INSERT" throughout the entire menu file. this suppresses the dialogue control box.
