Hi, has anyone had trouble with there home page changing to a page you don't want? Mine keeps going to fortunecity.com and it's driving me crazy. I have gone into tools/internet options and changed it back countless times but it just comes back! I've never been to this site before this started happening so I don't know where it came from. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

I gave all the ideas in the faq a try but I couldn't find anything wrong. I saw in another post for a similar problem that deleting the index.dat files will do the trick but I'm not a dos pro so I'm a bit worried. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Run RegEdit and search for fortunecity.com. If you find it, edit the key and replace the value with your desired site. Make sure that you backup the registry to avoid any problems.

I thought of something else. Does it change back when you restart the comuputer or when you close and start IE? If it is happening on reboot, run msconfig and review the programs running on startup. There may also be a little script in your startup directory that is resetting your default page.

It changes to fortunecity.com at restart. I ran regedit and searched for it - no luck, so I ran msconfig and everything looks ok there too. I thought having a firewall would keep this type of thing from happening. Thanks for your advice though. If you think of anything else please let me know. Cheers
