Annoying Filter Problems 1

HAd a problem with ARCServe not backing up some files due to sharing violation. Worked out I don't need them so trying to apply filters e.g.

c:\winnt\system32\dhcp\j50.log

c:\Program files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\tmp.edb

However still getting error saying sharing violation - am I doing something wrong?

Have checked log and no mention of filters coming up should there be something??

Modify the filters to exclude "file pattern"
J*.log and tmp.edb.

try not using the absolute path of these files

I have a similar problem(arcserve 2000) in that when I try to exclude *.tmp I am still getting errors on tmp flles causing my backup to be incomplete. Any ideas?
