Annoying beeps as phone goes to voicemail 1

Hi There: We are running a BCM50 R3 and all phones are Nortel IP2004 sets. Everytime someone calls an extension and there is no one to pick up it goes to voicemail as it should. The issue is that annoying little 2 beep thing each phone does right after it's last ring before going to voicemail. Is there a way to stop this from happening either on the BCM or on the phones ?

this was just talked about in the norstar forum check it out it's there word for word, you turn that off under the users mbox f981...

Sounds like alternate greeting is setup to answer the voicemail box.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Access the mailbox and go in admin-greeting-cfwd (or 8-2-3) from there select the options to have your extension to ring(and not going directly in your mailbox) and the next option will be the callerId. If you disable callerId your phone will not emit that beep everytime someones leaves you a message.
