Is there a way to record the "#" tone?

Seems like everytime you press that on even an analog set, it tells the system to stop recording.

I'm trying to record 22# but only get 22. I looked around the system for that # sign for announcements but no luck.

Record the DTMF announcement file using your PC recorder and a mic... then use VAL manager to copy the file to the announcment board. Then test...

This assumes you have a val board, val manager, and a recording application that can save the announcement in the specific format the val board requires.

Should work....

Thanks,

also, i tried enabling filexfer and i get the message "source board has filesystem running". i can't ftp into it, forgot the password ..

That's okay - just do a "disable filexfer board <VAL board location>" and hit enter. Then you can enable filex on the board again with a new username and password. If you are using a standard FTP client, don't forget to stroke "Secure?" to "n".
