You don't list any info re: your PBX/announcement cards/etc to let us know what you are dealing with so you need to take advice with a big grain of salt. Remember that older TN750 announcement cards can lose announcments and need to be backed up.
For the ANN-PT maintenance object, there aren't alot of conditions listed in the Maintenance manual that result in a warning. You do mention that announcements seem to be ok. It may just be that a single channel has a problem and that the others are fine. This would result in some callers getting the bad channel and no announcement.
You could dig deeper into error logging to see what error codes are associated with ANN-PT. Look in the Maintenance Manual for the ANN-PT for an explanation of the error codes.
I looked to see what was possibly wrong and there is a one test that checks for individual channel sanity. Sounds cool just to read.
"140AY channel sanity inquiry test (#222)
The Angel keeps a sanity status bit for each of the 16 channels on the 140AY device. This test queries the Angel to determine the status for a particular channel. If a channel is insane, that implies that announcements cannot be played back on that channel."
This situation would result in a MINOR vs WARNING error however.
If you have maintenance, call TSC and let them check it out.
I'm sorry; it completely slipped my mind...
Definity G3si Ver12 and TN750C
Thank you for the advice on where to look for more answers.
I do not have maintenance contract, so I guess I’m stuck with figuring it out myself.
I appreciate any help I can get.
Thank you
