Hello,

I have yet another question. We want to move an Announcement board from one cabinet to another cabinet in another building. We have 3 cabinets on our Definity. Will we lose the annoucements that we have on the board when we move it to another location? Its not a VAL board, its the regular announcement board so I cant back it up either.

Thanks in advance,

Joel

Joel you can back it up. You can " save announcements". That will give you a backup of them on the hard drives. I am not sure about loosing them while you are moving the boarda around.

Moving an announcement board is a multi-step process. The audio portion actually resides on the TN750C boards (not the TN750B). Backup the announcements to flashcard/removable media. Physically move the board to the new slot. Do 'change integrated' command and specify the from and to information. This step moves all of the Definity pointers (announcement #, extens. #, etc.). Do a 'change data-module x', where x is the extension number assigned to the announcement data module in the 'old' location. Change the port to the new slot (port 17).

Much appreciated,
